About making the NHS digital transformation greener

The Greener Digital Programme is working to empower the NHS to run low-carbon, climate-resilient digital health systems. Over the last two financial years it has collaborated with ICB organisations to lead the charge with Greener by Design: an ambitious initiative to embed climate-friendly practices across every facet of digital health.

Greener by Design will officially launch in 2026/2027. To learn more about the ambition, understand the impact across programmes and how you can adapt your work to be part of the change, please join the refreshed Greener Digital workspace on FutureNHS. This is its virtual front door and has numerous resources, guidance and tooling available to support you in your future plans.
